6 Sep 2024: The ASBhive-Hasanah Impact Challenge, organised by ASBHive supported by Yayasan Hasanah and the Ministry of Finance has been an incredible journey, where 6 innovative social enterprises showcased their impact and claimed the title!
Meet the winners:
📌QuinTerra PLT: Combats global warming by converting food waste into nutritious products through Black Soldier Fly larvae and aquaponics, partnering with restaurants.
📌Chipt: Revolutionizes waste reduction with its Smart Cup System, utilizing NFC and RFID for contactless dispensing, cup tracking, and data-driven supply chain management.
📌Jom MakCik Sdn Bhd: Offers women-led transportation services, focusing on safety and accessibility, empowering women drivers through e-hailing, chaperoning, and adapted vehicles.
📌SEA Intervention & Rehabilitation Centre (SEAcademy): Specializes in healthcare administration and rehabilitation services, improving recovery and overall well-being.
📌Bionature Scientific Solution: Develops health products from natural ingredients, growing from personal use to a formal business led by biomaterials expert Dr. Fatimah Suhaily.
📌Popular Meadows: Promotes responsible consumption through food production and distribution, empowering indigenous distributors to improve community access and affordability.
The winners of the ASBhive Hasanah Impact Challenge are set to receive support to grow their businesses and impact. They will be awarded grants of up to RM 100,000 per social enterprise to scale their ventures and gain exclusive mentorship for the next six months at ASBhive.
Additionally, winners will have free access to ASBhive’s co-working space, fostering collaboration and innovation. As a highlight, they will also have the exciting opportunity to be nominated for The Earthshot Prize 2025, potentially placing their impactful work on a global platform.
