Empowering responsible, innovative and sustainable business for social good in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 December 2022 – Yayasan Hasanah (“Hasanah”), a foundation under Khazanah Nasional Bhd (“Khazanah”) today announced 11 recipients of its Hasanah Social Enterprise Fund 2022 (HSEF2022) with a total of RM 1.3 million in grants. The funding is allocated towards supporting organisational development and growth, as they carry out their respective social and/ or environmental mission in the communities they serve.
In its inaugural year, HSEF2022 aims to: empower and support the organisational development of social enterprises and social innovators; promote inclusive and responsible businesses that create a positive and sustainable impact to society; stimulate private sector and public participation in delivering impact to society; and seed and scale innovative solutions for social good.
The 11 recipients of HSEF2022 are:

Yayasan Hasanah Trustee and Managing Director Dato’ Shahira Ahmed Bazari said, “At Yayasan Hasanah, we strongly believe in the ‘whole-of-society’ approach to build not only lasting, but inclusive positive change. HSEF2022 is a seed and growth funding support grant, implemented jointly by Yayasan Hasanah and the Ministry of Finance, catered to social enterprises that are providing innovative solutions in impact areas of community development, education, environment, and arts and public spaces in Malaysia.
