Hasanah Micro Grant (HMG) 2026

The Hasanah Micro Grant (HMG) 2026 is a trust-based funding programme by Yayasan Hasanah that supports grassroots, community-based and emerging organisations across Malaysia.

As Malaysia faces rising living costs, climate-related risks and widening education and social gaps, meaningful change often begins with small, community-led ideas closest to the problem. HMG creates space for healthy experimentation and locally driven solutions that can grow sustainably over time.

The grant provides up to RM50,000 per project to enable timely, practical action in response to real community needs.

Applications are open year-round and reviewed on a quarterly basis, subject to the availability of funds.

In Kampung CangkungKuala TahanBateq children from the Orang Asli community gained new skills, built confidence, and accessed meaningful learning with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia. Supported by Yayasan Hasanah and MOF.

In Kuching, the ASPIRE programme by Brooke Museums gives youths in Sekolah Henry Gurney a second chance through learning Keringkam, Sarawak’s centuries-old gold and silver thread embroidery. Supported by Yayasan Hasanah and MOF.

Why This Matters Now

Across Malaysia, communities continue to navigate evolving social and economic challenges — from cost-of-living pressures to climate-related risks and learning recovery.

Strengthening resilience requires solutions that are locally informed, practical and responsive to community needs.

The Hasanah Micro Grant supports grassroots organisations working alongside national efforts to deliver meaningful, community-driven impact.
